Rich Mossholder’s Layout

Intro

My Silvertongue Southern layout is HOn3, and measures approximately 16’x 50’.

It occupies 4 rooms in my basement and is in various stages of construction from bare benchwork to completed scenery. There are two areas of double decking and some scenery that stretches from near the floor to the ceiling. I model primarily the 1920’s but it’s pretty loose. I do occasionally have a diesel running around.

The layout operates with Digitrax DCC and many of my locomotives are equipped with sound.

I would like to have simple operating sessions at some point and could probably accommodate up to six operators.

Recently, I removed a large section of the layout to incorporate what remains of Malcolm Furlow’s Denver & Rio Chama Western.

I’m working really hard to bring the Rio Chama back to operational condition soon.

Hopefully we’ll be running trains through it for the first time in over 40 years.
